Got bruised shins and friction injuries from your ski boots?
Couldn’t wait to get them off after a day on the slopes?
Well now you can forget all that with SKI-AN’GEL® snow sports shin pads.
What are they?
Revolutionary friction reducing gel shin pad that prevents the bruising commonly known as ‘shin-bite’ or ‘shin-bang’ caused by the skin on your shins rubbing against the boot’s inner lining.
Why it happens?
The action of skiing or boarding creates friction between the skin and padding of the tongue of the boot (scientifically known as ‘shear-force’). SKI-AN’GEL® overcomes this by using a soft layered pad of slightly sticky gel which, when placed against the skin, effectively transfers friction to the outer surface of the pad giving your shins ultimate protection.
How do they work?
When placed over the projecting tibial crest of your shins the pads of bonded gel effectively removes the friction zone, 2mm outwards and away from your skin surface. The new shear force area is now between the outer area of the Ski Angel and the boot’s liner.
Ski An’gel pads do not cause skin irritation and have been tested to ISO10993-10 standards
